Meet The Doctors

Dr. Dave Chambers

Dr. Chambers completed his HBSc. in Mathematics (2000) and Doctor of Dental Surgery (2004) at the University of Western Ontario. He enjoyed practicing general dentistry for 7 years as a civilian with the Canadian Forces before returning to UWO for 3 years of full time study and training in orthodontics, earning a Master of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics (MClD). His Masters research relating to 3D dental radiography was later published in a peer reviewed scientific journal. Dr. Chambers is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and an active member of local, provincial and national dental organizations. When not at the office, Dr. Chambers enjoys fishing, woodworking, camping and various sports. He and his wife Carine have two young children and are pleased to be raising their growing family in the vibrant and diverse Capital Region. Why Orthodontics? ‘I am driven by the detailed nature of this work and entering healthcare was never a question. I appreciate and value the trust people place in me – it is my greatest reward.’

Dr. Carine Bourassa

Dr. Carine Bourassa received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Laval University in 2010. She pursued post-graduate studies at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, earning a general practice residency diploma from McGill University in 2011. She was invited to continue practice at the hospital where she provided general pediatric dental care and clinical instruction for dental residents. In 2012, she travelled to Northern Quebec and Ecuador to provide dental care for those in need. Dr. Bourassa completed her orthodontic specialty training at the University of Western Ontario, earning a Master in Clinical Dentistry (MClD Orthodontics). Her Masters research relating to miniscrew placement in the palate was published in a well respected peer reviewed scientific journal. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and an active, supporting member of local, provincial and national dental organizations. Outside of the office, Dr. Bourassa enjoys outdoor activities, various sports, cooking and spending time with her family. Why Orthodontics? ‘Orthodontics combines art, problem solving and the provision of a positive service to others. This combination continues to motivate me every day. I love to see the impact a new smile makes on people, I find it very rewarding.’
